I am working tremendously hard getting ready for the Club and Philadelphia exhibitions. The result of my work has been, a great head of a young boy done in one morning.  A number of the men have seen it, and all praise it. 

I have painted a portrait of Mr. Fisher.  These two works with two drawings I shall send to the club.

To Philadelphia I am going to send another portrait of a boy and two drawings.  And as two of these works still need considering I am up to my head in work --

I received your letters.  Wilder who for four years lead the Harvard Glee Club is to lead [[strikethrough]] it [[/strikethrough]] us and we look forward to much harmony.

The Club has opened and I shall eat there as soon as I have money enough ahead to not eat on credit.

Hiring models buying frame and fixing up this swell studio [[strikethrough]] have [[/strikethrough]] has left me in a condition that would not last paying meals long so the one hundred dollars which has arrived today I am very grateful for -
