Azy is just across the river Marne its church like ours here was built in the eleventh century -
The old people and I talked about art and the social conditions of villages round-about - In an artistic way they were pained by repairs going on in the church and on the outside. The repairs on one side of the tower being left unsculptured owing to a stormy town-meeting.
