My dear Parents -
This week was spent working in the old church on a picture of one corner - I finished the small sketch - a canvas that will go in the frame of mine the size of Jim Wilders portrait

The study came out so well that I determined to make one twice as large - about as big as my portrait of the old Chemist -
It will be good for St. Louis - and not to large for use afterwards

In the old little shop in Azy the good woman asked if I was interested in coins
She brought out coins of Julius Ceasar - coins of the Empire before him - Treasures for a Museum -
Her husband is a mason and finds these treasures in old houses he demolishes.
