I have been frightfully lonely over here - Leaving Paris and so many friends a splendid climate and the art atmosphere, for cold rainy dark London was an extreme that produced anything but joy - If it had not been for the kindness of that man Mr. Ford I should have had a discouraging time of it. [[strike-through]]Pep[[/strike-through]] People are becoming alarmed here on account of the rain. It is still raining - I saw the King and Queen yesterday afternoon She is a fine looking woman - [[strike-through]]Y[[/strike-through]] Very young in

appearance - She was returning from a visit on the Continent and the King met her at the station. After their carriage passed a cabby [[cabbie]] or coachman said to another of his kind (so all passer-by could catch the words) "Er ould man 'as come to meet 'er aye Bill" 
There was very little cheering or lifting hats - Mrs Ford tells me the Queen is well made up wearing false hair, much paint, and teeth of the best quality - Have attended several exhibits with Mr. Ford and concerts -
My studio is going to be completed
