Dear Parents -

I am now at work on the last few touches above the Boston work. You remember that old frame of 'Billy' the Mariner" which I trust is still [[strikethrough]] l [[/strikethrough]] about the house. Well I wish you would have that changed to [[strikethrough]] the [[/strike-hrough]] fit the following sized canvas

The canvas is just 2 ft. 8 inches long and absolutely one ft. eleven and three-eights inches in wide. Now ask the framer to cut the frame to fit a canvas this size and in doing so not to change the color of that frame but preserve the tone exactly. J. Little would be the best man to put it in the hands of. He would have it done for us if he does not do that work himself.

He is still on Boylston Str. and tell him after cutting to simply retouch the corners and not the whole

In the British Museum the other day I read a letter written by Thackery to another chap in which he mentioned a [[strike-through]] [[?]] [[/strike-through]] another acquaintance as Being a man and not like so many of today merely a clothes horse. My tailor has made me both. Very stylish.
