My dear Father-
 My work is going on well. We had a meeting of students of this quarter Saturday night, and organized a chess club. Naturally my writing and general ability procured me the position of secretary. We have at present sixteen members, some really fine talent - Hungarians, Russians, Germans, and English speaking people - meetings are to be held every week. And we all  expect good times. Sunday I went to the American club. They have a very poor show on there at present. It is weak.
