[[Archival Note:]] Sept 20, 1903

Saturday—

My dear father—

Today I let my studio - And shall vacate October 1st.

I am going to sell all my furniture and shall leave for London - within fifteen days—

My cold is better.

I must have at least one hundred dollars to start with in London - To arrange studio, and to pack the furniture that I take with me - will cost considerable—

Would it be asking to [[too]] much to ask for two hundred dollars for the month of October - I have debts here to the amount of about fifty dollars. Three friends owe me the amount all told of 120 francs - I am only taking to London, pictures, frames, and good furniture - With some rugs—
