Tomorrow I am going to get one or two more tables and some chairs I put in two gas filters and my place is going to be awfully pretty.

Your kind letters and advice have been a great help to me, the fact is your letters I treasure; to each one I give a place in my letter file and reread them each time realizing (if possible) more fully, your care and wisdom regarding my settling here. I shall do as you wish, make no unwise expenditures, go as much as possible socially, and keep up the air of one who is prospering. (that is a clean shirt and so forth) I should like to accept all the favors in the way of introductions, that are possible. So you might acquaint Lord Thurlow of my being in London

My new clothes are stunning well made and stylish—

I went to an evening party in swell English studio and met some nice people. The fact is I have gotten on among the artists each day they call or send cards inviting me to some affair or other - and I am much less lonely under those conditions.

In all I have bought fifty five dollars worth of clothes - and that with furniture will make it impossible for me to go wholly thro' December on what you sent me on Nov 1st.

I sent my love to all and thank you for your great kindness again.

William.

I got some fine photos of the Robbins boys painting Shall send one home by Miss P___no and am framing the other for my hallway
