Dear Father—

Thro' Mr. F's paving the way I am now in touch with Mr. Pennel - Chairman of the St. Louis Ex - for London - Am going to take dinner with him soon at the Ford's

I only care to send one work or two to that Show and from here - So if the committee should ask to see the old Salon picture or others tell them that I shall not send from Boston   I have bought the finest frame antique English which is about the size of last Salon picture at home two hundred dollars could not buy it and I procured it for fifteen dollars. at auction it is rich gold carved wood—

I am starting tomorrow to repaint on new canvas (a lighter key) my Salon picture and
