I did not feel at liberty to mention the name of those securities to Mr. De Friese as it was not my business, but on receipt of your letter relating to finding a market for them here I at once talked to De Friese about them he asked me to cable immediately for particulars as he thinks they can be places here if dealt with at once.
I have fully decided on my future career, that is to make myself useful to you, as well to myself.
The advise of all parties here is for me to make the necessary apprenticeship here and can be your agent for any securities you may wish to place in London, Berlin, Paris or Holland, this is possible for me to do through the strong connections which i have. I believe also that I shall be able to put in your way some important matters from this side,.
I find that my short experience in business thoughts leads me to become more and more reserved, enthusiasme [[enthusiasm]] is not a desirable quality over here.
Love to all,
William
