I am to take up more work on March 12-13 or 14th. Shall take up three portraits. 

Called today on the Pritchards. Saw some of the Turners. Four of the young ladies sail for Australia tomorrow. Sorry - all of them are well. Saturday - went to the National Gallery - to study the Rembrandts. Looked in vain for better work than Sargent's. Went to Mrs. Chamberlains afternoon tea. Met Mrs. Ford and others. Heard good music. Cole a singer. Kuphershin's [[?]] the violinist CC. -- In Velasque I can detect Sargent's methods or rather in Sargents work one cand [[can]] see Velasques method. Which is not as simple or careless as it appears - 

Sunday called on Mrs. Ford, stayed to tea. Met a Mr. Geo. Sheldon / Publisher and art critic. Have arranged to paint the daughter, the daughter is very attractive 16 years old, &c. &c. Mr. Ford is a fine man will make a good friend. Is a correspondent for three papers in the States.
