and going to picture galleries. I can bring to mind any picture in the Tate, Wallace and National Gallery. I know them all by heart. 

In walking in the park with Miss Ford I noticed recently that the flowers were all started, some all in bloom. It seems nice to see color again. The doctors here are all studying to be eye specialists they tell me I am not color blind. 

I have spend nearly twenty five dollars on French lessons. I know a good deal but can speak very little. First I studied with a Frenchman, then at a school where I am still.

Took dinner with the Fords and afterwards saw Richard [[strikethrough]] th [[/strikethrough]] the second with them they always sit in a box. Their acquaintance here is like unto Flints in Boston. Unlike the Chamberlains they know swell English families. I love them (the Fords. Richard II is a grand played and was handled well by Benson's Company. I leave for Paris Monday next. Am very busy making calls. Somehow I dread leaving for Paris. One hundred dollars rec'd from father I have on hand $300 know. Love to all and three hugs and twelve kisses for you.
