much basking in the sun feel more like work that ever. I was getting tired. It is a wise policy to follow. And I shall repeat it once again this summer. Tomorrow - once more my work is to be finished ahead on looking at the Frenchmen's best works I have come to the conclusion that [[strikethrough]] new [[/strikethrough]] no great work is done hastily and for that reason this summer to finish in every part three works, all I desire. But, for instance, stop and look back over what I've done. Before this summer I always worked in a hurry, and confess the style that appeals to me now is the thoroughly studied work that can be enjoyed by all classes - Sargents work of the present period is finished every spot takes its place.

My studio is being cleared of a years accumulations of dust. Like Homer I am buying curtains. Already have pots and pans (leftover ones) and am often puzzled with the various problems of housekeeping. 

The weather is still cool and I am tip-top seldom have a pain in my ___ it rhymes with jelly - and am always cheerful. 

I know how to draw and paint - and if I do both slowly I find the result is much more precious and interesting. Give my love to all and tell Bess to take much exercise and remain out of
