My dear Mother
I received your letters from home - Tell father that I agree with him. He has done more for me than I deserve, and that in justice [[strikethrough]] he should [[/strikethrough]] to you he should not continue.
I do not want to go to London next year.
Abbey is not a man whose remarks I put any value in compared to Sargent. Abbey is not a painter. Sargent is. 
You have done for me more than most men could or would do for their sons.
It would do me good to see a little more various masters and ponder over what is best in their work.
I shall return home about the middle of June. I shall not leave Paris until the end of May although father commands my departure by then
