My dear Mother

My letters of the last of September may have been full of surprises. I did plan to take a studio for six months but could not find one of any decent livable size. The studio I have taken is one of the ones in the neighborhood of the Luxembourg Garden one that could easily be subletted. I have talked with Delecluse about trying the season in London. He says truly, that it makes no difference where an artist lives, but matters greatly where
