I am going to get more out of this winters work than ever before I am right in the atmosphere of success but it is slow work. One artist I met today said he wished he had painted this last work. You know there is a style here of giving reproductions of pictures away with magazines, papers, and journals. He tells me the publishers pay well for the use of publication, and home-like subjects are the thing. one should arrange these matters in the month of June. I am going to look into the matter.

Mr. Thompson is going to be here Monday probably. 

Pennell has been awfully kind to me in subjects of exhibitions. Next winter thro' these pulls I can enter nearly every exhibition Here as you know they are sort of Clubs. 

I am writing my article for the Herald this year myself - that is suppling material in the way of photographs, and literature which Miss Philips will rearrange. Tomorrow I have the photos taken of the front room, and two of my studio and of the new Salon picture - also the girl with the sun bonnet and other work. About ten in all. Will you kindly send Miss P. the photo of Mr. Stallneckt's portrait with a note saying that I am the week following sendnig [[sending]] nine other illustrations, -and other items
