I tell you from my own experience there is something fine and desirable about loneliness - I have had a touch of it here on my arrival - But if every thing is right at home I do enjoy the struggle—

And struggling I am - I am confident I am right in taking up black and white and mind you not neglecting my painting while there is light - For while Father may say I don't need it, still I am yearning for the feeling of my own real earnings and besides to get on the best weeklys advertises one - all over London - and England.

So be patient and watch results—

Love to all, and all to you Mother, I am so glad we have still got you for in the past you have done everything [[cont.in margin]]
