down and at work. Have received another short story to illustrate (children story or story of child life). While there is not much money for the work it is a beginning and I am doing them with as much care as tho' I was to receive ten pounds [[strikethrough]] apeic[[/strikethrough]] each for them.
So you see I shall soon be able to help myself. I hope, considerably. I have heard nothing as yet from you regarding my home coming and would like to defer the visit until I had earned the money myself.
You will receive by the same mail three water color sketches. Subjects on the back of each. I have many more here which I shall send later. Keeping some of the best in anticipation of Dr. Gordon's visit.
One of the Bank of England for Father's office, and a number of other parts of London I shall send you later. next week perhaps.
Have seen the Fords a good deal this week. I am thinking [[strikethrough]] going [[/strikethrough]] to reduce my expenses next year by taking a top floor of a Doctors house in Chelsea which has a fine large studio and bed room kitchen etc. for just one hundred dollars less than I pay here. At present I am only considering it but think it wise to reduce my rent and then I shall be all the nearer to paying my own expenses.
I hope you are all well, and will enjoy your Spring as much as I do.
Love to all.
