Dear Folks:

Reached Stoughton at 8 P.M. the train being essentially on time. It rained up to N.Y. Had a good modern car with adjustable seat, so when I asked I just let down or up the seat & my back never was so comfortable and I dozed some of the time. Rats - screens - etc. I should think one of the former was dead in the house. My mother can't smell, and wants all doors tightly closed! Am going down to get a little food as they are pretty short on everything now. It bids fair to be a scorcher here. Hope all is well with you.

Love - D.H.B.
