Dear Sid:

We thought it was going to rain today, so we got up early and cut some grass and then took the 10 O'clock bus to Boston, where we bought some cloth for Doris to make a skirt. It was the last of the bolt, so we got over 2 yds considerably for the price of 2 yds. and there is enough for her to make a sleeveless jacket too. I got a navy wool short coat for 6.98 and want to make a skirt to go with it will give me a new suit for about $10 if I do. We picked up 3 bargain blouses for $1 apiece (bargains indeed as now they are about $3) They are soiled so we have washed them out. Then we hunted thru the camera stores & got 2 rolls of films! so you needn't bother. It has been hot & muggy but not wet. I hope you have a good trip to the beach. Got a card from Mrs. Robbins telling us to let her know in advance so she won't miss us again.

Doris.
