Mabel called up Doris to go swimming. They started out for Ames Pond, a rather long ride. I hope she gets home soon and always fret when she doesn't, as you know. But I don't trust Mabel very much.

It cleared off after a pouring rain all yesterday rather muggy. I think you must be having hot days there too.
 
That blue yarn, I recall now, wasn't in the same lot with the yellow. I seem to remember tucking it down on the side separate. Look around the sides of the old trunk (same one), I know it is there.
 
We gathered some of the pears last week, and I am keeping them down cellar in the hopes they will last till you come home. They aren't ripe at all yet.
