Doris got a haddock yesterday and we all - including the cat - are still feasting on it.  There is great soap shortage. I wish you could bring up some toilet paper, as there is almost none, except at Cerdigno's where it costs 10¢ a roll, awful.

We went over to see Maud last evening & found her listening to a broadcast by Chas. Upham.

Now is a fine cool breezy day after the showers. It has rained the past 2 nights. And maybe Doris and I will start this p.m. on the mowing of the other side of the house.

I wonder if you are at the beach today. I had Doris get me an up to date map of Mass. yesterday, thinking maybe on our way back we could go a different way, perhaps straight to Springfield, then down to N. Haven, maybe we should enjoy a leisurely day 1/2 trip home taking in new country.
