Dear Sid:

Doris found a nest of 4 blind field mice when she was mowing this morning and has them in a cage on the porch & is trying to feed them with a medicine dropper. The old cat came down from his day on the roof and at once approached the cage with his nose working most pleasantly. We have gathered all the pears within reach this P.M. (2 baskets) and shall shake off the rest next week. The starlings are pecking holes in them. Doris has gone this evening with Norma to an Italian fiesta & field day. She went berrying yesterday in Avon & got nearly 5 qts. How is your heel? I hope you have a good weekend at the beach.
Doris.
