Dear Sid:

It has been rainy since Tues. noon and we went in to Boston today and bought D. a raincoat in Filene's basement for 9.90. (we saw the same thing later upstairs for $20.) and then we hunted about till we found a suit that satisfied her for $24. It had to be fitted and the belt made smaller, and they charged $4. for alterations, but we saved $2. by doing the sleeves and hem ourselves. Then we came home having spent all we had. There is still a winter coat to be bought, but I must wait till Sept. for that. Doris wants to know if you can send up her wool before you come, so she can knit up her sweaters, she has nearly finished the green one. I hope it clears tomorrow, so we can continue our outdoor work. Hope you are having enough to eat.

Doris
