Dear Sid:

Today has been cool and fine for work. Doris and I have been over at the old place, she cutting the grass and I trimming the young maple trees. We shall have enough over there to keep us busy the whole week, as she mowed less than half this side of the house today. Mrs B. asked for her bonus (and got it) and has been in Boston all day, not home yet at 7 P.M. but that suits me. I guess we shall manage till Thursday. How are the tomatoes? I hope the Jap beetles are diminishing. Are you able to find your clothes? I hope you have enough to eat. D.'s ring came back today, she is saving it - as all the rest of her things - for college.

Love,
Doris.
