Stoughton Mass
4 Sept 1945.

Dear Sid:

I am addressing all my letters out to Beltsville now as 2 of my cards have already been returned. The Arlington P.O. is the dumbest place. You don't get my letters which I have written daily, and it must have been very discouraging to you. I hope by now something has reached you.

We had it 45° this morning but it is warming up a bit tonight. Doris has studied steadily all day and wants to go to bed at 7.30 so as to be in good trim tomorrow.

I have been busy all day cleaning up and painting about. I have washed most of the kitchen walls, painted the wood box and flour box, and done a good wash. This afternoon I finished my painting of Tom Swan's Hotel as far as going up there is concerned. Shall add a few more touches at home. It makes a rather pretty little picture.
