Alaska, being the results of explorations carried on during 1884. It consists mainly of Radiates and Crustacea.

Acc. 15704, from L.B. Thurber, Patchogue, Long Island, N.Y., Three specimens of Squilla and one crab from that place.

From Mr. Chas. H. Townsend, through Wm. H Dall, two specimens of starfishes from the coast of Lower California, about 400 miles south of the United States and Mexican boundary line.

From Prof. L.A. Lee, Bourdoin College, Maine, four homo. vials of Parasite Copepods from the coast of Maine, for examination. Also three samples of bottom from the explorations of the Steamer Albatross, for transmission to Capt. Bartlett, Hydrographic Bureau, Navy Department.
