This correspondence is to invite you to attend the KidSat Project's Critical Design Review (CDR) to be held at JPL on Friday, September 15. The CDR's agenda is enclosed herein.

The scope of the Project CDR is to provide a programmatic overview of the entire project, overviews of each KidSat functional Element- Data System, Space (Instrument), Mission Operations, and Education, and a summarization of the key issues and agreements resulting from each Element's own internal CDR. These have been in processes for the past several weeks. The goal of the Project CDR is to insure confidence in the KidSat design and implementation for the first pilot mission, scheduled for the Spring of next year, and to set up the foundation for a long-term, self-sustaining program.

If you cannot attend, the KidSat Project will be happy to send you a copy of the handout material following this review. For questions regarding KidSat or this CDR, please contact me trough one of the methods listed below.
