Mission STS-81 debrief :

Brian:
The software worked much better this mission. Everyone did a great job. But MOos needs some more sophisticated software.

Images: Need archiving procedures.
Also, renaming pictures took waaaay to long, although there may not be a way to avoid this.
Final archiving should be delayed in case there is a mistake (like there was this mission) so that everything doesn't have to be redone.

Moos:
Do Mooses still need to fill out KU request forms?
Mooses really to use crs more, but at the present time it takes way tp [[to]] because every time a problem is found, they have to generate a new ccf, and then rerun crs. So a better automation software would help. So MOoses need to talk to Software about suggested improvements.

Discussion:
JSC didn't use the KU information from the MOC, JSC pretty much just grabbed what they could.

Comm:
Mostly uneventfull. Use of automation scripts sped up ga archiving immensley [[immensely]].

Payloads:
Software for GA automation worked well.
Can payloads controll [[control]] generating the nadirlatlonlist? This would keep them from bugging orbit all the time for them.
Next time payloads should have a better command of how many pictures we had at any given time. We could improve kslog so that it gives more accurate information.

247 pictures predock, 264 postdock.... 529 total pictures according to the logfile. Images disagrees on how many we actually have though. Part of the difference is due to the 50-70 photos that were declared out of existence (there were a string of night photos).
Paul wants all of the state vectors.
Orbit notes that payloads might want to send calibration photo requests to cloud before sending them to orbit so they would only have to check pictures that are not cloudy. Cloud should put percent cloudy, not just 'cloudy' or 'clear'.
perhaps payloads needs a program to display predicted pictures from the ccf against taken pictures according to the logfile in order to keap [[keep]] track of how many photos are where.

ccfs..... need to make ccfs several orbits ahead (if possible).....
this will hopefully be fixed with better software to enable the MOoS's to handle more stuff (?)
comm needs better ways to keap [[keep]] track of which ccfs have been sent, which are accurate etc..
