Bookmark a Page

1. Bookmark the Netscape Before You Begin Page by going to the menu at the top of your screen and selecting Bookmarks.

2. Select Add Bookmark.

3. Now, when you select bookmarks it should include Netscape Handbook: Before you Begin. Now you can get to this page quickly by selecting it under Bookmarks; you can keep adding on more bookmarks as desired.

Practice Going to a New Page by Typing in it's [its]URL

1. Go to the Location Box (where it says Location) and delete the address in the box.

2. Now type in the following URL:
http://home.netscape.com/eng/mozilla/3.0/handbook/docs/learn.html#CO

3. Press return (this will bring you to the Handbook: Learn Netscape).

Be careful to type in the address correctly or it won't be able to direct you to where you want to go. Notice the Netscape icon in the top right corner of your window is "busy" transferring to the requested page. This page will provide you with more information about Netscape, for example, "Understanding Pages and Frames," "Knowing that every page has a unique URL," "Using history and bookmark lists," "printing and finding."

*You can also get to this page by selecting Learn Netscape under the 3.0 Handbook (like how you got to the Before you Begin document).

What can I do next?

You're now ready to use Netscape to explore useful resources on the web.
