DOWNLOADING WEATHER IMAGES

In the activities for this chapter, and later for the mission, you'll need to know how to download images from Netscape. When you find an image you want to download, place the arrow (cursor) over the image. Hold down the button on the mouse, and select Save this Image as... from the pop-up menu. You will then be able to choose a name -- if you don't like the one already given -- and directory or folder where you want the photo to be saved. Be sure to give the image a name that will make it easy to remember; i.e., star.gif, etc. The words 'gif,' pict,' and 'jpg' just give the format of the image and you may delete them as they do not affect the image in any way. To view the image again, open it through Netscape.
