->& I'm [[crossed-out]] flattered [[/crossed-out]] proud to be part of this historic event for the University & to honor another female scientist - Rosalind Franklin

-> When I was growing up, I didn't have many female sci to look up to - & there were no female astros • & there weren't many female scientists => & those that did exist didn't get the visability [[crossed-out]] they [[/crossed-out]] & recognition they deserved.
 
-> Rosalind Franklin, with her commitment to science & unwavering dedication - dedication that eventually led to 1 of our greatest discoveries - is an inspiration to all of us.

-> As I look out at all of you-the next gen. of sci. & and healthcare profs, it gives me great pleasure to know that you have a role model to admire.  Rosalind Franklin will forever provide inspiration-& this reminds us that it only takes 1 person's vision to change the way we think about life's possibilities
