EARTH SYSTEM SCIENCE: A Closer View
surveys the scientific questions, modeling efforts, trends in technology, and observing and information systems critical to the study of global change. Recommendations for a comprehensive, coordinated research program are made to NASA, NOAA, NSF, and other federal agencies. The report will be of major interest to researchers in atmospheric science, terrestrial and marine biology, geology, geophysics, glaciology, hydrology, information science, oceanography, soils science, solar-terrestrial studies, and systems modeling.
