My dear Grace, 

Was happy to get both your steamer letter and the one written at your aunts the day after you arrived.

I can readily understand why you got sick if they gave you ham as a starter.  I have hear that a little sea sickness might be good for one. In your case it seems to have had the fountain of youth effect.  Would liked to have been on board as one of your admirers, I would have made love to you and smuggled myself into your cabin at night, the way that you found your way into mine coming over.  When I think of the steamer yale it makes my heart beat a little faster.  Also B. Vt. 

Your letter is a peach, read some of it to the Sterlings at breakfast Sun. morning.  They think you have a lot of  poetical expression.  I feel blue when I think of my
