[[striekethrough]] Yesterday, [[/strikethrough]] Wheelock & I spent yesterday with Spier at Fort Lee.  She is the same as ever, only thinner & does not look so well, because she does not get enough exersize, as she spends most of her time cooking & housekeeping for Kuhn who has their shack full of his numerous nick-nacks.

I like his work somewhat, and he is an interesting fellow with a good deal of experience abroad & in California &c. but somehow
