Yonkers, April 4th 1910

My dear Dasburg,

Just as an early drought was becoming serious we received a gentle rain. The [[strikethrough]] young [[/strikethrough]] sod has turned green over night & the buds are opening on almost everything that grows.
 
I send you one or two hypaticas, which were your favorites as well as mine, I remember, and are the earliest of the year among our wood-
