Am sorry to hear that John did not have any luck with his exhibition. Dont you think that perhaps he would get more immediate results if he had the opportunity that I am having. Was thinking yesterday morning that I might go back to New York and get into some kind of a commercial house and try to make enough money to help my mother and aunt. Of course I would give up painting for the space of a few years. How long I would be able to stick at that kind of work is another question. 

You will undoubtly have a fine tramp with Carlson. As to your not caring what anyone thinks, I think it would be just as pleasant for me if you do not mention it to my people.
