I woke suddenly before sunrise, dreaming that we were under the Live-Oaks on the clean brown leaves, and I had you in my arms and was lying upon you— not in passion, but in love— and we were conversing as I have always longed to do and yet we seldom if ever do so when we have the opportunity.
