It is a great delight to take a dip & be sprayed by this natural shower - when the deep grass on the fields above is thick with dew & the brook tinkles & twinkles in the slanting rays.
All the summer flowers are coming out; the rue & the black-eyed Susans, & you ought to see the wild rose gardens by every roadside & pasture.
The laurel is not yet gone [[strikeout]] yet [/strikeout]] and is very abundant, white in the woods under the shade & sometimes deep pink with buds as red as corral in the clearings.
