Dear Grace. Am waiting in the station for the train to Monticello; the reason of my going is to have the title searched before signing the deed for the house.
You will be getting tired I'm afraid of receiving nothing but card letters like these written on the wing. I know that you understand how rushed I am; so you will forgive me.

Was sorry not to find a letter form you yesterday and none this morning. Hope you are not ill. I feel as tho I were going to hear from you and be pleased. If things go in contrasts always it will sorely be the other way I'm afraid.
Just now I feel as tho I would go mad if I had to stay alone up
