Dear Grace,
I was indeed glad to get your cheerful letter of last Sat. Its length makes me regret again that writting is not a fluent means of expression for me so that I could write you letters as yours are, to me. 
I also am feeling much more cheerful than I was after first arriving here and have decided to stay until after Christmas, i.e. here.
The snow turned into rain this morning and the mountain was shrouded in vapor so I was not very excited about painting it
