Dearest Girl - I wrote you last Friday morning ^(3-23) After lunch Mae took me to symphony concert which I enjoyed very much. After I went to the French Line Office & found that they have changed the next sailing of the Rochambeau from April 28th to May 31st. the Rouch - being replaced by the Chicago - which as you know is quite impossible -

So I engaged my passage for the 31st of Mai [[May]]. Mr. Aldis is very happy to have me going back with him. But it is absolutely the last minnit that I will stay without you - or stay in any court - Yesterday I was very low again so I stayed home all day and shut myself up in my room & read a historical romance for children
