don't like the idea of being as far from my mother as Boston next year, and though they teach very pretty painting there, too much of that training is no help and the women get my goat. Also it would be a satisfaction, after working like hell this summer, to get Tarbell to say I could come into the advanced and then go round and tell them I was going somewhere else. That sounds childish, but I don't like their attitude that they have the only art school licensed by God Almighty.
