My dear Ed-
I stop packing for a few minutes rest and to drop you a line-
I sail with my little family next week for Europe to stay a couple of years or so-- Wish I could see you before I go-
Let me have a word from you before I go- and tell me how you all are- and when I am settled in Paris after the summer I will send you my address-
I hope you are all in good health- I have not been this winter- grip &c- but Mrs. A-and baby are in excellent health-
Please excuse brevity but I am up to my neck in packing-
Mrs. Alexander joins me in sending regards to you- your wife and the little one-
Always- dear Ed- Very sincerely yours
John W. Alexander (signed)
