Dear old Ed-
Only a line- as I am only just through my work and sail tomorrow on the Louraine-French line- to your disgust-
You can imagine the thousand and one things I have to attend to
We are worried over the illness of your little one and shall be glad to have news of her and of all of you-
We enjoy your letters and hope that from time to time you will let us hear from you- I can't tell you how I rejoice in your happiness- My wife always says when I speak of you- that she hopes her regards are included with mine to you and yours-- Good luck old boy-
   Sincerely always
