2- I have just come back from a drive way up the R Side drive -& was taken by Mrs Squires & her Mother- & a booful young lade- whose car it was. We went into one of the big Luns up there & had waffles! Mrs Squires told me she was engaged to an Englishman & might go to London to live- & she said Ellen had separated from Ritchie & was with her Mother.
Ritchie is in New York now in some Brokers business- I know everything was all wrong between them- when they were here last. I was just dying to tell about you- but couldn't. I knew Ellen would have liked to hear the news. Nothing has come out in the paper- I wonder if it is to be a secret all the time- No one in the Club dreams of your going over-  Jerry has a bad headache- and his drive did not help it any- He couldn't eat any supper- but he will be all right tomorrow- The Doctor told him his foot looked better- which is good-
