My dear Girl,

I am some tired and my eyes nearly wrote out, I have just finished the enclosed diary account of today, interview with the Aide de Camps of the King, which please forward to the children, but please be careful that these pages are not lost, and that they are returned to you for filing, for they are the only record of this eventful trip I have. I think it would be well to register the letter they go in - as an extra precaution.

And also do not read them in their entirety and guard against their being quoted in any newspapers. It would not be discreet at the present time Then again it would be an anticlimax, if I gave a talk on the subject after my return. So explain this to the children please
