So the King had been waiting a half hour!! The Col. was very sorry at the misunderstanding, saying that the King expected me at the main entrance of Palace but that he would explain, to the King. Presently the Col. was called into a room adjoining (this was on the first floor) and in a moment the door opened and he asked me to enter, he

I spoke to the King about the error that had been made in instructions given me to see the Aid [[Aide]] de Camp first at his office, Albert, was very gracious, said he was very sorry I had been kept waiting, and that it was all right as far as he was concerned.
