The room where he received me, was not large, not quite as large as the studio, not at all gorgeously furnished, it appeared to be his working room a large table in the center was covered with all sorts of things books papers etc, a regular working table, I noticed a stereopticon on it, this he held instead of a field glam while posing - as this is an idea I have but may not hold to it. The room was on the ground floor looking out on the park like gardens like many we saw in Italy. The one in Albano for instance, the whole room suggested, work and not a Kings palace.  
Shall probably use one of the more stately rooms, when I begin painting,
