Then we went back to the Kings study - and I asked if it would be agreeable for him to pose in the room I had found, he was entirely agreeable and on the way out showed him the mask of Lincoln on the table in which he was much interested, but we lost no time and he strided ahead much in the manner that Father described Lincoln as doing. Coming to the place where my easel had been placed, I placed the Royal subject in the light I wanted, and I got to work, and there was not much said, as he seemed to be occupied
